Trick-or-Treat on the Riverwalk

Have a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween here at the Riverwalk! On October 26th we will be holding the 2nd annual Trick-or-Treat event! Bring the family out for an evening of Halloween fun and get a FREE pumpkin from Milberger’s Farm. Pumpkins will be located on the grass and they are first come first serve. Last year we had a HUGE crowd and we are expecting to see just as many ghosts and goblins this year! Visit a variety of candy vendors around the Riverwalk and enter into the costume contest, which features over $500 worth in prizes!

Trick-or-Treating

  • Candy will start being handed out at 4:00 PM.
  • Be sure to pay attention to the signs around the Riverwalk and follow the flow of traffic.
  • The Trick-or-Treating is intended for children under the age of 13.
  • Please be courteous of others and respect their space.
  • Candy will be handed out until it is gone.

Costume Contest

With the amount of applicants we had last year, we are changing up the process of the costume contest. Please make note of the times and information below.

  • Costume Contest Divisions
    • Ages 0-2
    • Ages 3-6
    • Ages 7-12
    • Family/Group
  • Registration Times & Location
    • Ages 0-2
      • Registration begins at 2:45 PM at Tent #1
    • Ages 3-6
      • Registration begins at 2:45 PM at Tent #3
    • Ages 7-12
      • Registration begins at 2:00 PM at Tent #4
    • Family/ Group (3 or more)
      • Registration begins at 2:00 PM at Tent #2
    • ALL TENTS WILL BE LOCATED NEAR THE HARP AUTHORITY OFFICE which is across the channel from Brues Alehouse.
  • Judging
    • When you arrive you will register in your category and receive a number.
    • Your photo will then be taken by a professional photographer and associated with the number we give you.
    • Your photo will then be submitted to a judging committee who will select the top 10 contestants.
    • Once the top 10 contestants have been selected, we will let the public decide the winners and runner up by posting the 10 contestant photos on our Facebook page on October 28th.
    • The winners will be chosen based off the most likes.
    • On October 31st, the winners will be announced and contacted to come pick up their grand prize!

*Event Rules*

-Please keep all costumes “G” rated as this is a family event.
-If you won the costume contest last year, you cannot enter the contest with the same costume.
-If you are planning on entering into the group/family contest, have a theme set for your group.
-Please, no masks for adults or children over the age of 12 that would frighten others.
-Do not bring costume accessories that resemble a weapon of any sort.
-We ask that you do not use any silly string, blow horns, or any form of powdery substance.

Trick-or-Treat vendors

Please fill out this vendor form if you are interested in setting up a table for the event. All applications MUST be in by October 18th.
